Shoutcast?

is it possible to set up and run shoutcast server on a "BlowoutPackage2008" ?
if it is possible how can i do that?
i tried to start this server, but i cant access it over "mydomain:8000"
if you realy provide 9000gb bandwidth it would be cool to run shoutcast on it
i think 9000gb is enough for that =)

    streaming audio/video does drain away premium server bandwidth. I guess usage of shoutcast for a few friends and family is fine. But not yet sure about the implications of using it for mass usage on the servers. just want the server performance to be top notch for all users at DVH..

    is running shoutcast server generally not allowed (this program could be started by normal user without compiling and other things)?

    lol, no shoutcast as yet on DVH... but we are getting there. Launched FFMPEG specific hosting plan yesterday.

    PS: shoutcast hosting does not seem to be commercially profitable from what i have heard, but it is a cool feature for the music community :)
