mysql server is down

mysql server is down ==> my web sites are down

Also broken via myphpadmin with the error:

#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)

and by command line in ssh

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)

I'm on superhost. Anyone else having problems?

    Ok, the server seems to be back just now.

    I just made a ticket a few minutes ago.

    Error on my drupal site: The MySQL error was: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 111.

    I can't connect to my database via SQLyog, and in the control panel, my database isn't even listed in there anymore :/

    Hopefully, like you said, the msql server is down :/
